About

You’re building a real tech business. Somewhere between the vision and what’s actually shipping, something isn’t working — and you’re not sure if it’s the team, the architecture, the priorities, or all three.

Maybe you’re at Series A and the team that got you here can’t get you to Series B. Maybe a raise is coming and you need the technical story to hold up under scrutiny. Maybe you’re a VC and you want to know if there are dragons lurking before the term sheet.

I’m Lee Goldsworthy. I’ve spent 20 years in technology: as an engineer in enterprise environments, as a tech co-founder in startups, and as CTO/CPO at venture-backed scale-ups. Since 2023 I’ve worked as a Fractional CTO, specialising in the inflection points of Seed, Series A, and Series B.

Beyond the Fractional CTO work, I co-run OrchLab — AI Engineering workshops and advisory for technical teams who want to move up the stack from AI-assisted coding to full loop-based orchestration. If your team is building with AI agents or trying to understand what that capability looks like at scale, that’s the work.

I support early-stage private equity — VCs, Family Offices, Search Funds — to know what’s under the hood before they buy it. The rest is embedded fractional work, technology strategy reviews, and coaching first-time CTOs through the transition from engineering to executive.

If any of that matches where you are, book a 30-minute conversation — even if you’re not sure yet what you need.
